My Predictions and Breakdown for UFC 297: Strickland vs Du Plessis (Full Card Predictions)

“I'm going to pick Jimmy Flick here you know um I don't think that either of them are very good but Jimmy Flick I've watched him before he's got quite a lot of wins by submission I think if he can get him to the ground he will be able to get him in a submiss Miss I feel like”

“I'm going to pick kaker you know I'm just going to I'm going to back the underdog here then moving on we have a British fighter here Sam Sam Patterson versus Johan lessi I definitely butched that lessi I don't know how to say that but um interesting fight uh Sam Sam Patterson he is coming off a loss uh to asmo ashm no IDE how you say that but I mean he's not a bad fight he 10 and two got unlucky there um lessi however he's nine and two so both decent records to be fair to them both um quite a few wins by knockout for lessi um is both of them coming off a loss and I load to literally every fight on this card is coming off a loss I swear to God well so far but supp you have to expect that from um the prelims but um I'm going to pick Sam Patterson you know uh I am I am backing him because he's British but I also think they're both not they're both coming off losses um this guy lost to Mike Malott uh lessi but he he was actually fighting on the same card is this at welterweight this uh fight I'm not too sure I think it is but yeah I think Sam Sam Patterson is quite um quite promising he's quite a young guy I reckon um yeah I reckon he could even either knock him out submit him he's got many roots to Victory here uh so yeah I'm going to pick Sam Patterson now moving up the card we have Gillian Robertson versus Polyana Viana and um I'm going to pick VI reason is I don't think Robertson's that good I mean I watched the last fight she didn't look good I mean uh yes Polyana Viana did get H submited in the last fight to lendo but I don't think she's that bad like uh with Ren's fight it can easily go either way I'm telling you like I've watched a lot of women's fights to know that if if it's not convincingly who like he not convincing who's the better fighter it could go either way and I just don't think uh like what's the face Gillian Robertson is that good anymore she's 12 and eight um I just yeah she's to be fair she um coming off a loss as well both of them coming off a loss to far she lost her decision to taba for Richie um quite a few wins as well both got a few wins few losses but I just think Polyana Viana is the better fighter I'm going to go for now an interesting fight here up the card we have Serhiy Sidey butcher that one versus Ramon Taveras and um I think I'm going to pick Serhiy Sidey here I don't know sidey Serhiy Sidey I'm I don't know how you say that yeah I think I'll pick Serhiy Sidey six knockout wins two submissions not bad I mean he's like a one two three four five six seven unbeaten streak he actually beat um Raymond Tas in the contender Series so that's pretty cool uh so he's only got one win over him but um yeah so pretty uh pretty standard um pick here nine and two for TZ don't think he's that bad really but uh he did he's coming off a he did lose to Serhiy Sidey then he won again on the contender Series so he's got the rematch but uh yeah I just feel like Serhiy Sidey will do the same him again and win the next fight on the card is Charles Jourdain versus Shawn Sean Strickland Woodson I do look forward to this fight indeed but um I feel like oh who am I going to pick Charles Jourdain is 15 and six uh Sean Strickland Woodson is also no no he's not 156 he is 10 and one so uh not many is this is how many fights on the UFC um quite a few um um he beat Terence mcin by flying knee in the contend sees damn didn't know that how many times has Terence mcin been knocked out by a flying knee I swear to God he lost like Bond of him as well by that but um yeah he's all right um he's coming off quite a few wins uh Charles Jourdain though oh this one might be a tough one to pick you know I mean Sean Strickland Woodson has a lot of decision wins so uh that could EAS if it if it comes to it he could probably easily win that but um Charles Jourdain is pretty dangerous on the the feet eight koos five submissions as well so he's got a he's an all round good game to be fair to him he lost he has lost quite a few uh decisions to be fair to him those but uh in Canada as well I'm going to pick Charles Jourdain here now I think this is the featured prelim now the last one before the main card we have Brad Brad Katona versus Garrett Garrett Armfield and I'm going to pick Brad gona here I feel like I watched his last fight was like the last thing of The Ultimate Fighter or something like like he he won he won um something and he got into the UFC I think he looked pretty good he looked uh decent 13 and two Garett Garrett Armfield I don't think he's that great he's nine and three and um yeah Brad Katona just looked really good in his last fight so I would pick him to probably win by decision here he think just going to put a load of output on him he beat Gibson very convincingly so yeah I'm going to pick Brad Katona now on to the main card probably the fight I'm looking forward to most from the main event is Arnold Allen and mo mo msar Movsar Evloev this fight will be good I feel like Arnold Allen is 19-2 Movsar Evloev 17 and0 I mean this this is a good fight I have to say um I mean we all saw we all saw um ev's last fight to um what's his face Diego Lopez that was uh interesting I mean that's proba I think that might that's like um stray my decision of who to pick here because he left a lot of openings in that fight for Diego Diego Diego Lopez and uh I feel Arnold Allen he's really good I mean he obviously lost to Holloway not that long ago but um he he didn't do too badly against him really it was a obviously unanimous decision but you have to be volkanovski to be Holloway really realistically but apart from that yeah literally he hasn't been beaten in like like he's basically like UND undefeated in the UFC apart from Holloway something like that yeah he is yeah he's only loss in the UFC was to Holloway so um oh I don't know it's a very tough one to pick but I'm going to back Arnold Allen going to back the English man to get the job done and end end every's unbeaten streak now the next fight on the card is the middleweight matchup Chris Curtis Mark Andre Barry Al and before look at their records I already think I know who I'm going to pick um let me just have a look quickly at Mark Andre barot record he's 16 and six not the best I mean Chris Curtis has he's like 30 and 10 or something how many fights do he had yeah but um yeah I mean barot is coming off a win I think Chris Curtis is coming off a loss but I am going to pick Chris Curtis for this uh I just don't think barel is very good like I mean I've watched some of his fights he's five and five in the UFC I mean I just just I don't I don't think D don't think he's very good really and then compared to Chris Curtis I feel like he could catch him uh it could be I would predict a knockout Maybe by Chris Curtis I think he is pretty good he's got 15 wins by KO in his career so yeah I'll pick Chris curs to win this we're smashing through this card now on the last three fights and the third one up the card is Neil Magny and Mike Malott well I think we know who we're going to pick here Mike Malott is my pick he's 10 and one he's dangerous you know I think he's really good uh six wins by submission four wins by uh knockout I mean he is pretty good oh no he's no he's I said 10 and one where is he got uh I don't know if he's lost actually um oh no he lost once but in the UFC's three and0 and he's had a draw as well in like Bellator or something but uh yeah I just feel he's really good and Magny I mean we saw against Ian Gary I mean he just look he did not look good at all I mean them leg kicks if Mike malal can hit them leg leg leg kicks against him he uh yeah he could be finished here but he he's def I don't know how he's going to finish him I just know Mike malalla will finish Neil Magny right onto the co-main event I can almost go back and lie in my bed cuz I'm dying of this cold right now to be honest but uh we have Raquel Raquel Pennington versus Mayra Mayra Bueno Silva for the um what's this bantamweight title or something I don't know uh the women what yeah it's the vacant bantamweight title fight so there's two title fights on this card pretty cool um oh I don't know it's a women's fight I don't really know what to pick here to be honest I mean Raquel Pennington she's she's not bad I don't think she's too bad most of wins by decision of course it's the women's uh she's coming off like uh she hasn't lost since Holly home loss but that was quite a long time ago so she's building quite a win streak I feel like that's pretty decent she's 12 and five in the UFC mayor of Mayra Bueno Silva I feel like Mayra Bueno Silva has the more finishing ability than uh Raquel Pennington does yeah she's she has like seven wins by submission um one by KO so I think she is she is pretty good I mean they're both not bad to be fair um yeah she's on a one two three four five fight winning streak as well so um actually well to be fair she got uh that one against Holly Hol turned to no contest CU didn't she win but she like had she popped for Peds or something like that something I don't know I can't I watched it I think but I can't remember what happened but yeah that was overturned to a no contest I mean maybe uh them performance to drugs actually helped her who knows she may she might be better now but I'm going to pick Raquel Pennington I feel like she can get as long as she doesn't get finished she will like um dominate the fight really against buo Sila as long as she doesn't like uh get caught into submission then I feel like she'll cruise to a a decision win here and then finally what everyone's been waiting for the main event Sean Strickland Sean Strickland Strickland versus Dricus du Plessis wow I'm looking forward to this fight I can tell you that I mean is is this going to be this is probably one of the most exciting matchups in the middleweight division to be fair I don't I it's going to be hard to pick this one I feel like both Fighters have roed the victory I mean if Shan Sean Strickland Strickland did what he did to Adisa he will wipe the floor with Dricus du Plessis really but I feel like if Dricus du Plessis Comes Out Swinging he could definitely catch Sean Strickland Sean Strickland Strickland as well so they've both got a chance here I don't know what is going to happen to be honest um I mean I don't I'm looking at the records right now but I know both Fighters pretty well good enough to pick this one so um I'm hoping I I kind of want Sean Strickland Shon to win I feel it' be quite good for him um he's 28 and five now he's got quite a lot of wins by uh KO but not recently apart from the U Maga one to be fair but I I'm going to pick Sean Strickland Sean Strickland Strickland here I feel like if he because he is the champion now so I feel like if he takes that confidence into this fight and fights like he did against alisna he will he will win this one and I feel like it'll go to decision I don't think he'll be knocking out Dricus du Plessis I think it'll take the gas tank if he wears down uh Dricus du Plessis gets like the third fourth round and then he can start actually like hitting in him loads and he might he could get a finish to be fair I don't know but uh I definitely think Sean Strickland Sean Strickland Strickland yeah I'm going to pick him so guys there was I do on predictions I thought I find it pretty hard to pick the fighters this card I mean there's some good matchups but a lot of the fighters like I just don't think like when you get two fight is that I don't think very good fighting against each other it's not easy to pick to be fair or two really good Fighters fighting against each other and it's really hard to pick and I have noticed looking back I picked quite a few under doogs so and it could work out well for me who knows”
